Free tracks, and I’m on a new compilation!!

Hey guys! =D

I thought that it was about time that I give a couple of tracks away for free download on here. ‘No Love Lost’ was available once before some time ago, but was taken off. It’s old, it was made in 2005, but I still like the melody and may remake it at some point soon. So here it is again, along with a new one called ‘Tribute’, which is one I dedicated to Paul McLean (John Avenida). I hope you enjoy the melodies!!

Lastly, on June 9th, Judgement Sundays 2008 will be out from Ministry of Sound, mixed by Judge Jules. It will feature my remix of ‘Global Warming – Far & Away’, which has just been released on MoonNRG (Moonrising Records). Jules played my remix 5 times on his BBC Radio 1 show and also interviewed me for the show.

Interview on BBC Radio 1!

Hey! =D

I hope all is well with you all! =) I just got off the phone with Judge Jules, where he interviewed me for a couple of minutes for his show on BBC Radio 1. As of tomorrow, he will have supported my remix of ‘Global Warming – Far & Away’ (which is an upcoming release on Moonrising, so, woo!) for 4 weeks straight. I’m really happy! =)

Also, it seems that Ken Spector and I are finally signing a track we did together to Coldharbour! So I will finally be an artist on Armada, woooo! =) Markus Schulz really loves the track we did, and we think it’s going to be huge. Ken’s recent track with Gilbert Renoir has been really successful, so fingers crossed for this new one too!

Also, my track ‘Storybook’ which was release on Presence Trance (their first release too) has received trance tune of the month in IDJ Magazine! It’s all going really well at the minute. I’ve also updated ‘Karanda – Karanda’ and Manuel Le Saux is going to remix it. He is also the guest this month for my and Andi C’s radio show on DI.fm, The Karanda Show.

I actually finally got to meet Manuel Le Saux (Manny) last week on Friday night! Andi C, Oly Street and myself travelled up to Leeds for the night for a great lineup!! Manuel Le Saux, Lange, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Woody van Eyden, Genix. It was an amazing night! Manny was wicked as always (GAG!!..um, in joke ), and here’s a photo of myself, Manny and Andi C:

Our hotel for the night was..cosy. A little too cosy *nudge nudge Oly* – but otherwise, a decent night’s sleep! Having said that, we got only 4 hours sleep, and still missed the hotel breakfast downstairs!! Some git told us it finished at 10.30, so we went down at 10 and it had just finished. Pfft =)

General updates!!

Hey! =D

I hope you’re all doing well!! =) Let’s see, what’s new.. last week, Judge Jules supported my Wandii remix of ‘Global Warming – Far & Away’ (upcoming release on my and Bruni Bergeron’s label Moonrising Records) on his BBC Radio 1 show! So, that’s huge!! He also supported the ‘Acute Remix’ of my track ‘Wandii – Storybook’ (first release on label Presence Trance) a couple of weeks before that.

I’m working on quite a lot of tracks at the minute!! I keep starting tons of tracks, which is good because I’m getting a lot of ideas out and having a bit of a creative flow.. the only thing that’s holding me back from finishing most of them is that my PC is too laggy But I’m going to make sure some of them get finished, mainly a new Karanda track called ‘Soulseeker’. Meanwhile, I’ll save up for a new PC, too! =)

On Friday, I’m heading up to Leeds for the night with Andi C and Oly Street, to see our buddy Manuel Le Saux’s UK debut!! I can’t wait! It’s going to be awesome. The rest of the lineup is fantastic too, with Lange, Woody van Eyden, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Will Holland, and Genix (a fellow Leicester guy like myself!). So, I think you can see that it’s going to be HUGE! I’ll try and take some photos. =)

The Karanda Show on DI.fm (the radio show I host with Andi C) is going REALLY well!! We’re averaging over 3700 listeners every month, and this month we have Manuel Le Saux as our guest (go figure ). Last month’s guest, Onova, was HUGE!! He’s awesome =) Such a nice guy, and his guest set went down sooo well on the DI.fm forums. Please tune in this month if you have the time! We’ll be on the DI.fm trance channel at 6pm GMT on Saturday, April 26th. Always the fourth Saturday of the month.

Wandii loves…

Fresh air! Yes, fresh air. =)

Hey guys! Well, it’s 6:10am – the time zone in which I ‘live’ has shifted – I seem to get more done when people are not awake or around, it’s strange. Must be the feeling that I’m the ‘only one’ or something silly like that!

So, I left my window open all night, went downstairs to watch a movie (The Day After Tomorrow) and came back upstairs, opened my door and was just amazed at the sudden change in air quality. Right now, it’s a pleasure to be sat in my room. It’s so fresh and cool. What’s great is that when I go to sleep, my window is next to my bed, so I get a light breeze right in my face! Not recommended for really cold nights though, might catch a chill.

I’m meant to be doing a remix for Alter Ego Records now, so I’ll post more about that as and when. All’s going well on the music front! My latest track ‘Storybook’ keeps getting tweaked a little bit. Arnie (8 Wonders) said he’ll spin it on his DI.fm show TTT though, so that’s great of him!

It seems that with the more time I have off work, and the more time I’m awake during the night and asleep during the day, I’m able to get in touch with my roots. Like, who I am, what makes me me, have real time to figure things out naturally and just be so relaxed. It makes so much crap that’s happened recently (down to me) all become more annoying than before though, because the clearer that everything becomes for me, the more annoying it is for me to see what I did in a confused state. Yeah, we all make mistakes and learn from them, but it’s awful feeling like ‘you’ again only when it’s too late to do the right thing. I wish I was Uncle Ben, he always did the right thing! =) Ah yes Wandii, make a joke to break the harsh reality of reality tone – done.

Watching ‘The Day After Tomorrow’, some things in it just had me thinking a lot about a certain someone. This one character in it, knows so much stuff about biology, facts and varieties of ‘clever’ things. And then Jake Gyllenhaal’s character (me) is the one keeping everyone safe, leading them to safety and things. What is it with me and always wanting to be a hero? It doesn’t matter if everyone in the world is independent, I’ll always wish that I could do something great for once… That movie just made me want to txt/sms someone, express how deep my feelings are in more depth than ever, express true sorrow for things, yet true love for always.

Because let’s say that our planet and survival does become globally threatened by something, it just makes everything we work for and everything we do in our ‘normal’ daily routines and lives seem so pointless and stupid. I’m ALWAYS prepared for that, because I know how much I care, and how I would drop every single bad thing that has happened if faced with that dilemma – or, if I choose to, knowing I feel that way with or without the dilemma… I’m a little complex in my perspective, if you guys hadn’t gathered. =)

Sorry, I’ll leave you all to it – it’s 6:24am now and it’s just too early to talk about these things and actually make any sense. Love you guys, take care of yourselves, more soon.

The Karanda Show takes off!!

First of all, I just received an e-mail from someone called Paul but I accidentally deleted it as it was automatically put into my spam folder. Sorry Paul! Please resend your e-mail, I just caught your name as it was deleting and realised it wasn’t spam.

The Karanda Show is going so well! January we had Marcus Schossow as our guest, last month we had Jonas Steur, and later this month on the 22nd March we have Onova as our guest of the monh! Should one massive uplifting trance show for the whole two hours! Remember to tune in on DI.fm trance channel, 22nd March at 6pm GMT.

Wandii & Andi C residents on DI.fm!!!

Hey guys! =D

Andi C and I (together known as Karanda) have FINALLY got our own radio show! And where better than to start on….. DIGITALLY IMPORTED!!!!!! What’s that you say, 100s, maybe 1000s of listeners? Hell yeeeeah!! Because DI is the most popular online station for trance!! Hehehe =) We have a monthly 2 hour show called ‘THE KARANDA SHOW’!

It will be the 4th Saturday of every month. Our first show is on the 26th January and will start on DI’s (www.di.fm) trance channel at 6PM UK / 1PM US Eastern / 19:00 CET. So, PLEASE tune in for our first episode! There will be voice overs, and a guest mix from my good buddy Marcus Schössow. It will be massive!!

Meanwhile, I’ve been busy working like heck but also spending my earnings on new studio equipment!! Check out my studio page now. Next month I am finally buying a 61-key MIDI controller with sustain-pedal etc, a new subwoofer, new microphone… you name it. I will take some photos next month =)

I don’t have much else to say right now, but that’s a lot of progress that I am veryyyy happy and pleased about!! =) Thank you for all of your support – you know who you are!

Happy holidays!!!!

Hey guys! =)

Sorry that my website has been down for so long, the hosting was really bad =( Because of this, I appear to have lost ALL of my old posts dating back 2 years… damn… sorry. Makes me personally quite sad, if anyone. But it can’t be helped. Let’s all thank moca bear Zedii for getting my site back up and running!!!!

First things first: HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!! And a HAPPY NEW YEAR!! =D Hehehe. Ok, now that’s done! Things have been real crazy here. I finally got some monitors (M-Audio Studiophile BX5a) and 2gb RAM, so I’ve started to produce like bunnies \o/ Woot! I have a new track on the way called ‘Season’s and plenty of remixes I really should be trying to finish off, hehe. But I can’t help it, I’m not used to my PC handling so much (the 2gb ram really did the trick!), so I keep getting carried away and starting tons of new tracks, lol. Some of you might be happy to hear that I’m going back to some of my more orchestral roots for this new track, ‘Seasons’!

I signed ‘Storybook’ to Presence Trance just a few weeks back, a track from earlier this year. It will be getting MASSIVE remixes from JamX (half of DuMonde!) and Lee Haslam (a top hard trance producer!). My original mix is being featured in the February 2008 issue of IDJ Magazine and is getting track of the month with a photo of me, so look out for that!! I’m quite excited about it. The guys at Presence have treated me well and definitely done me justice so far! Great work guys, thank you! =)

Ahhh, it’s like 2:45 AM right now so I’m struggling to think of all the other things to tell you! So, instead, I’m gonna’ go bed and then perhaps write some more tomorrow if I can think of anything hehe. Take care guys, I hope you are all well and have a great holiday!!
